Children and families in the Lech Valley

Children at Hof Ida

The Lech Valley is the perfect place for a family holiday. The Lech Valley cycle path is mostly flat and ideal for children. There are a number of outdoor swimming pools along the route which are great for a refreshing swim. There’s loads for the kids to do with a great choice of gentle hikes, adventure playgrounds, children’s climbing walls or the Wally Blitz summer toboggan run.

In winter the Lech Valley is a real hit thanks to its small family friendly ski areas like the Jöchelspitze in Bach. Why not enjoy a warming cup of cocoa in a mountain hut before racing back down into the valley on a toboggan? You could even try a cross country ski trail with the kids or a ski tour? The Lech Valley is great for family holidays for all generations and abilities.

Outdoor pools and indoor pool

The largest outdoor pool in the Lech Valley is located just along the cycle path in Bach. It features a  giant waterslide and has two tennis courts.  In the village of Häselgehr there’s another outdoor pool with a mini golf course and a beach volleyball court.  Badino is a natural adventure pool in the village of Vorderhornbach  where the water is cleaned without any chemicals by using natural filters and plants. There’s also a rock to jump off and a Tarzan swinging rope.

Aqua Nova is an indoor adventure pool with a wellness area in the village of Steeg. There’s a splash pool for smaller children and younger visitors love the water slide which winds round the outside of building.
