Fundamentals

This privacy policy applies to all persons who use the services of Hof Ida's. We hereby inform you about the nature, scope and purpose of the collection and use of your personal data by our company. We respect your privacy and strive to comply strictly with the legal requirements for the processing of your personal data (EU Regulation No. 679/2016 (GDPR), DSG 2000, DSG 2018 and TKG 2003). All your personal data will be processed on this basis. Hof Ida is responsible for data processing. By using our services and giving your consent within the meaning of this declaration, you confirm that you are at least 14 years of age and are able to give valid consent, or that you already have the effective consent of your legal guardian or trustee.

Your personal data, in particular

  • Your master data (surname, first name, address, email address, telephone and fax number, date of birth, customer number) as well as language and vehicle registration number,

  • the data in travel documents (passport number, passport details, date of birth, issuing authority, validity period, nationality) and identity documents (identity card, driving licence, etc., including issuing authority and validity period),

  • data on payment methods and in connection with payments, in particular with EC cards, credit cards and bank cards,

  • the length of stay you have requested and destinations, hotels, contact persons, conditions, special services, health data, frequent flyer number, personal preferences that you provide to us, and

  • special categories of data such as health data and data on special needs and marriage/partnership.

This also includes bookings for tour guides, catering, rental vehicles, transfers, taxis, registration processing, events, tours, accreditations, vouchers including customer accounts, billing and verification (B2B, B2C, FIT), ticket bookings and guest cards. This data is therefore stored and processed by us for these purposes and, where necessary, transferred to third parties with whom we collaborate in order to provide the most effective and best possible service for our customers. The legal basis for these data processing procedures is

  • the fulfilment of our pre-contractual and contractual obligations towards you,

  • consents obtained from you,

  • statutory, contractual or other legal obligations on our part (e.g. documentation rights and obligations under accounting, tax and customs law, contract law, reporting, legal disputes) as well as § 96 TKG (German Telecommunications Act) and

  • our legitimate interests (e.g. improving our customer service, including in the area of direct marketing, or protecting our own legal interests).

The duration of storage is determined by the duration of our business relationship, the consents you have given, and the statutory retention requirements and legal obligations applicable to us. We would like to emphasise that, in the case of regular cooperation, we strive to provide the best possible customer service by familiarising ourselves with the customer requirements you have already communicated to us so that we can satisfy you on an ongoing and permanent basis.

 
Our websites

When you visit our website, your access data is automatically collected and stored. This access data may include, in particular, the page accessed, the files viewed, the date and time of access, the user's IP address, data about the accessing computer, in particular the browser and operating system, as well as the amount of data transferred and notification of successful access. We use this access data for internal statistical purposes, to ensure the security of our website and to optimise its content. If we suspect illegal activity, the access data will be evaluated for evidence preservation purposes. By entering your personal data in one of our contact forms, you consent to the transfer, storage and processing of this data by us for the duration of the processing of this specific enquiry. This applies in particular to your enquiries via contact form, chat and emails that you send to us. We require this data to process your enquiry and, in such cases, we also store your IP address for the purpose of preserving evidence. The data is stored for as long as is necessary to handle any additional or subsequent questions you or we may have. The legal basis for this data processing is your consent, our pre-contractual and contractual obligations towards you, our legitimate interests and legal obligations of all kinds, and Section 96 of the German Telecommunications Act (TKG).

 

Transfer to third parties / Obligations of processors

We may use your personal data under certain circumstances.

  • within the Group, taking into account the permissible purposes of use,

  • to processors (e.g. for our electronic advertising in the form of newsletters) and to third parties who must be involved in order to provide the services you have requested, all of whom have undertaken to comply with the applicable data protection standards,

If compliance with European data protection standards is not possible – for example, because standard contractual clauses, adequacy decisions or certifications are not guaranteed in a specific case – we will inform you in good time and also obtain the necessary consent from you. Cookies and tracking services

We use cookies, which are small text elements used to store information in web browsers. Cookies are recognised when you next visit our website and contribute significantly to speeding up loading processes and making the use of our services more convenient for you. The information recognised and stored by cookies serves to recognise you, but also to analyse your user behaviour. The information generated by the cookie about your user behaviour is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. Your IP address is truncated within the European Union beforehand and thus anonymised or at least pseudonymised. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transferred to a Google server in the USA and truncated there. Google uses this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide other services relating to website activity and internet usage to the website operator. We use Facebook social plug-ins from the social network Facebook, operated by Facebook Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square Dublin 2, Ireland, and Facebook Inc., 1601 S.
